Handmade Slip ‘D’ Combi Rig

These Slip ‘D’ Combi Rigs are handmade and tied to order using my favourite rig components.

The Slip ‘D’ uses a hook ring swivel and a doubled-up braid to form a ‘D’. This design allows the bait to move freely when a carp takes it. It also provides excellent anti-eject properties when fish attempt to refuse the bait.

This rig is highly versatile. You can use it to present wafters, balanced baits, or out-of-the-bag bottom baits. It performs well across a wide range of fishing conditions.

Cally’s Carpy Customs Hooks
These hooks are a popular choice in carp fishing. Their design ensures aggressive hook positioning and reliable hook hold. Made from high-carbon steel, they are strong and durable. The double PTFE coating allows smooth, fast penetration. Available in sizes 4, 6, 8, and 10, in Barbless or Micro Barbed options.

IQ2 Extra Soft Fluorocarbon
IQ2 is a softer version of Korda’s legendary IQ. It allows free movement for light hookbaits while remaining nearly invisible in water. Carp find it very difficult to detect.

Korda N-Trap Soft (20lb)
This hooklink reflects no light and lays naturally on the lakebed, creating a realistic presentation. Available in Gravel Brown, Weedy Green, and Silt to match your fishing conditions.

Hook Bait Mounts

• Rig Ring – 3.1mm mini rings with a matt black non-reflective coating. Allows natural bait movement with minimal hook movement.

• Bait Screw – 12mm anti-glare screws that secure your hookbait and enhance natural movement.

• Micro Ring Swivel – Size 22 mini swivels with matt black coating. Flexible and excellent for natural presentation.
